The Miracle of Plastics?

Saturday, May 31, 2008

Stones.

Metal.

Paper.

Now, it is Plastics.

Plastics are the new currency.

People no longer carry cash around. Those heavy historic stones. Those heavy metal coins. Those bulky, crumpled, smelly paper bills.

Today, most people carry around plastics. It is their cash. It is their identity. It is their lifeline. It is their credit. And most importantly, it is very easy to use.

It gives us a more sense of security by not carrying around that huge amount of cash. It also gives us a false sense of financial security that cash is always available...until the monthly bill arrives.

Now, reality hits you. Since it is easy to use, it is also easy to abuse.

Your manageable monthly bills rise to unpaid debts. Those insignificant interest rates now seems as large as significant purchase by itself.

You ask your self why you did not spend enough time looking for the Best Credit Card Deals. The lowest interest rates. Those promos. Like those special Credit Cards For Bad Credit.

Now, paying back is a struggle. Your cash is never enough. Your credit is ruined due to delay or non-payments. Even if after you have managed to fully settled your debts your credit line is negatively marked.

Lessons learned. Experience gained.

Now you are wiser. Now, about plastics, are they really a miracle?

Hmm…

BuyBlogReviews.com

Today was such a hectic one.
This one made me feel good today: See the hits? Nice
I did the laundry in between meal preparations.
I had to monitor my e-mail because i needed an update from someone.
I mopped the floor sleek and clean.
Went to the bank next town, with hubby.
Did the grocery.
Cooked dinner.
And now is the only time I can blog. And blog.
Today, I noticed I have been so unkind to my little girl. I kept shutting her up with my interjections before she can even finish her sentences. Tsk. Tsk. I hate to do that. But I did many times.
I am guilty.
I should be glad she is the most expressive and eloquent being in the house.
Tomorrow will be another day.
I should make up.

That's how the song goes. At least a part of the song's lyrics.
However, seriously speaking if one needs a good, reliable website that offers variety of choices for shower enclosures, bathroom showers and steam shower.
There is no need to surf all day long and spend all your energy just to waste your time. It pays to visit the only website that has comprehensive and complete offers from different price ranges to different sizes or heights. The website accepts different brands of credit cards so customers can order online without so much hassles or troubles. More than just the hassle-free shopping, they offer free shipping to every customer within the continental United States. Isn't that cool and budget-friendly?
In the customer-friendly website, navigation is so easy that every buyer can contact the customer service. More than that, one can track the order online. Another bonus of the site is that offer return or exchange policy should the customer opt to avail of such service. If one is on the frugal mode, the website is offering products that are available for clearance sale. So no need to hunt and hunt for something that is elusive, right before you prices are slashed to suit your budget needs when they are on clearance sale. For sure, mothers who would want to save or stretch their budgets are on the look out for offers like this. I, for one, will not hesitate to avail of such big savings!
Shower is one of the most used gadget or tool in ever household. Not only that it gives a hygienic relief to every member of the household but it also provides therapeutic effect on our bodies, especially when we use steam shower every time there is a need. So what's keeping you from grabbing one of those?

Maids from China

(my kids: smallest one in blue, in pink and in gold)
My kids have grown! This was taken more than a year ago.
They have grown faster than I perceive them.

Let's go Chinese!
Then (about more than a year ago) Here they are with cousins: My eldest in pink (Frances) second in gold (Sophia) and smallest one in blue with a bag (Emmanuelle) .

Now here they are just a year in between when these photos were taken..

Now: Summer 2008 swimming in Palauig, Zambales (middle and rightmost are my kids with a cousin)
Aren't they potential beauty queens? LOL.

My husband and I married early.

We were both twenty-three when we got married. It was tough to shoulder such enormous responsibilities at such a young age, but here we are: alive and kicking. While others were storming the corporate ladder and spending sleepless nights in different parties or hang outs, we were changing diapers and baby bibs. While many of our contemporaries were figuring out what to do with their salaries, we were spending heavily on milk and vaccines. We took the parenting route earlier than the usual. It was not easy but we are a team.

Looking at the bright side of it, we will be retiring "earlier" than most normal people do. With retiring, I mean by the time our kids are in their twenty's we will still be in our late 40's. Hopefully, by that time we have sent them to the best schools and have earned their degrees like we both did. Thus, we will be free and happy to dive into our early retirement years.

We always dreamed of putting up our own coffee shop, with kitchen bar stools and all. We both dream of the smell of coffee and baked deli wafting our noses everyday while enjoying reading the papers in the company of friends and kin in our own coffee shop. I will be in charged of the interior decoration of the coffee shop. I like to think of country type motif for the design, from the counter stools to the walls of the shop. It is easier to find discount bar stools which can be turned into different designs to match the interiors of our dream coffee shop.

Even if it will still be years from now I look forward to making this dream a reality. I love the idea that we will be a husband and wife team to put our dream into a reality. Watch out for this soon!

Cool Tubs, Anyone?

Thursday, May 29, 2008

What do you think of these bathtubs?
Do you like them?
Would you like to have one?
How would you like to grab one and install one of these in your homes?
I will not refuse if someone offers me to have one like this.

Elegant is an understatement just to describe this claw foot tub.

Now my imagination runs wild like how much enjoyment I will have while taking my hot baths here. After a long day's work and stressful time, I just love to soak in this kind of tub and take my time to enjoy my bath.Taking my bath in this kind of tub, or even whirlpool tubs, will be such a luxury for me. Imagine how a hot bath will sooth my weary soul after a long day's work!

Upon my analysis these models are crafted in fiberglass, acrylic, and are constructed of cast iron.So when one decides to buy one, durability and long-term use is assured. Definitely, there will be no problem when in comes to quality and reliability of owning this kind of tub. More than just the elegance and beauty that one can see in each model there is an underlying assurance that indeed this is worth one's investment.

I have always believed that when a gadget or furnishing will be used for five years or more, one should always buy the best one available. I have adapted this principle when buying gadgets or furnishings for my house. There is less money and time wasted when I choose the best product available. Rather than buying cheap ones but with low quality it is better to get the best one and add a few amount. Less worry it will be for the owner or buyer.
Now, grab one of these and enjoy the warm baths!

Comfort Zone

Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Yeah, I know I was incognito for a while. Pardon my abrupt hiatus but I guess I needed it. I dropped my laundry basket, dishwashing liquid, floor mop and everything that came along with my everyday paraphernalia. For four days I stayed out of my abode and comfort zone. But of course, I went to a more comfortable zone than mine!
For four days, I felt pampered, cherished and truly rested! How did I feel being served by three stay-in house-helpers, drivers on-call in a fully furnished air-conditioned house? I felt like a queen! Unfortunately, that was in my sister's house not mine! But boy, it was one heavenly break I needed.
My sister has just transferred to her huge, huge house and I was invited, with my kids to stay for four days. I truly admire her generosity and kindness. Not to mention I love her new house. I love the furnishings and interior design. My eyes were glued to the dining room buffets she has acquired. Her new sparkling dining room buffet cabinet was remarkably elegant. I love every minute that I spent in her house. The comfort was immeasurable!

I promise myself when I have my own place such as hers, I will search high and low for things such as discount dining room buffet so I can have the same cozy elegance that she has in her house. Well, for now I just love the idea that my sister lives such a glamorous lifestyle, cause she has really worked hard enough for her to earn her rewards now!

Liza, gave me this meaningful tag. Here's the story behind this tag:

Mimi, the QUEEN of meme's, the creator of The Peace Globes, the author of BlogBlast for Peace has come up with a brilliant idea. She is treating her Peace Globes as a meme to spread this wonderful event. I'm going to jump on board and I challenge you to copy and paste this meme on your site and tag absolutely everyone in the blogosphere. Here's what Mimi has to say:

Peace Globes did not begin as a meme. But it began to behave like a meme. Blog to blog to blog. Like a fog. We didn't use the word "tag" ....but that's what we did when we invited others in our blogrolls to participate. The fact that you did so without the obligatory tag is proof that the concept is powerful.

It's a fact that the fastest and most effective way to spiral an idea out of control in the blogosphere is via a meme. I should know! The 700+ bloggers who participated in past launches (and that truly is the tip of The-Iceberg-I-Never-Found) knows what it means to them. It's about unity. We have that in spades. It's about activism, awareness, crossing political lines, making a statement and sharing ideas. We've done that. We have the vision as a core group of bloggers for peace; but we do not - yet - have the power in numbers behind the message.
The Peace Globe project began in the fall of 2006 with a simple post from one blog, Mimi Writes. The post ignited a flame in the blogosphere. The flame became a passion. The passion became a movement. It amazingly traveled from blog to blog to blog across the globe. Bloggers wrote passionate articles on what peace means to them, along with the promise of three Latin words scribbled on a globe - Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace) - branded with the integrity of their names or blog names. It was positively inspiring to watch. And it began to happen all over the world - from Singapore to China to Afghanistan to Brooklyn.

It was simple. And powerful.

In less than two weeks bloggers from all
across the globe will blog for peace.
We will speak with one voice. One subject. One day.
Won't you join us?

Have you heard of the saying "What you do not know, will not hurt you?" This is most of the time true; except of course if it is about something between life and death. This is also not applicable in life threatening situation; or something that would put your life on the line.
But for some people who are looking for financial savings or opportunities to save their money or stretch their budget, this adage does not apply. What is the connection, you might ask. It is connected most of the time, if one is looking for money-saving tips and bargains because if one is not aware where to get bargains or items on discounted sale, what they do not know will definitely hurt their budget! This holds true if they are buying something that is overpriced. Definitely, when it comes to frugality and the likes, it pays to be truly up to date with different sites or places to get discounts! Therefore, it pays to know!
I just became aware, recently, that to be able to save a whole lot of money for my Christmas shopping, I should hunt for items on sale during Black Friday or the day after Thanksgiving. Are you aware of such? There are actually on line stores which offer variety of items on sale or discounts available during such times. In fact, others are so customer-friendly they provide e-mail alerts, aside from thanksgiving ads, for customers to be informed about the different items on sale. So, how's that for saving effectiveness? Cool, right?

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am in a thousand winds that blow,

I am the softly falling snow.

I am the gentle showers of rain,

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am the fields of ripening grain.

I am in the morning hush,

I am in the graceful rush

Of beautiful birds in circling flight,

I am the starshine of the night.

I am in the flowers that bloom,

I am in a quiet room.

I am in the birds that sing,

I am in each lovely thing.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there. I do not die.

Never assume. Never stop learning. Watch your back. Be on the look out.

These are just a few by lines or rules of thumb I have learned recently.

As business owners, my husband and I are always in constant search for new ideas or trends to level-up our enterprises. In this competitive, stiff commercial world it seems that the adage: "only the paranoid survives" truly applies. It is always safe to be progressive in thoughts and in lifestyle. Progressive, I mean, in such a way that we have to be open to new ideas and technology that will affect our enterprises.
My husband, who is both an owner and employee of his own I.T. company truly believes that what his business needs right now is a good branding. He is always searching for ways to elevate the perceptions of his clients and potential customers regarding the branding of the services they provide.
It is tough to compete with other businesses of the same kind. Many people are always thinking of the same way we do. So, it is never safe to assume that our goals have been achieved. However, being business owners give us an advantage of putting innovations and ideas into actions without the hassle of consulting a Boss. One tough thing to hurdle, however are all the problems that can be encountered during business operations.

So as promised here are the long-overdue pictures during my "not so little", little girl's 6th birthday. She was sick and down with asthma during this party thus she was not her usual bubbly self.

Although weak, she felt excited to open her gifts!

This cake has been her request months before she turned 6!

She thanked me for her party. And her birthday wish was: Please, no more asthma!

Calls

Monday, May 19, 2008

Did you just miss that most important call because you went out? Did someone call but you were busy doing other things? Stop missing those important calls!
Reverse Cell Phone Lookup is the best solution so as not to miss any call at all or to get the details of all the phone numbers that call your phone.
Harassed by unimportant calls? Register your phone to the " no call list" then unwanted calls from telemarketers or unknown people will not bother you at all. Try it!

We are the spectacles we wear.

Therefore, how we look or perceive the world around us affects our disposition inside-out. No matter what state of life we are in, our life's paradigm affects the lifestyle that we are bound to lead.

Lately, I have come to terms with myself. My life's paradigm will always be shifting but what will affect my whole being is the conviction that is firmly embedded in me.

In other words, my own perceptions of me, define me.

Cause what is it they say: what other people think of you is none of your business.

I am me.
No matter what people or relatives perceive of me... I am defined by my intentions; which only ME knows what.

For Rent: Garage

Monday, May 19, 2008

Last weekend we trooped to my sister's house. We were invited to visit her new house. So off we went for about a two-hour drive to give her a visit.
When we arrived, I was taken aback how huge the house was. To call the place a house is an understatement. It should be called a mansion! Anyway, as I was entering the house, I felt happy and proud of my sister. Her long years of hard work and true perseverance have paid off. Now, she can sit and relax inside her house, which is truly the fruit of her sweat and tears. It really pays off when one gives out her or his best to build a booming business.

What is more appalling is the fact that, despite the humongous size of the house, her garage in front is still so big it can accommodate around fifteen cars. She could have posted a sign there which says: Rent a Garage here. People who need spaces will really be on the look out for the opportunity to rent. Seriously, the space available can still house a rent-a-space business.

Seriously speaking, there is a huge market looking for parking spaces and garages especially in UK. People who own different businesses and vehicles are really hunting for spaces for rent such as garages and parking area.

What's up?
Guess I have been procrastinating for too long. So, here are the long overdue pictures of my little one's 6th birthday.
She was sick and weak during the party, but we partied anyway! She was happy, she said, but she could have been happier had she been well and active during the party.

First: the cake as requested by the celebrant/celebrator.

Slow upload, though. Just give me a little more time. Maybe, picture uploads will be faster in a few minutes.

Easy Does It

Friday, May 16, 2008

For the past two days, my husband has been busy catering to a client who asked for his services for a web site development and management. He has been in front of the computer day-in and day-out. Looks like his only breaks were to grab something to eat and trips to the toilet.

This is expected of him these days since he is beating deadlines. With very meticulous clients, he has to make things perfect and error-free. More than the moral support and consistent food provisions on demand, the only thing I can help is to recommend frontpage web hosting. This he finds as a better choice, because he can easily do web management and mix and match browsers. He says with front page webhosting his job can be done in no time!

As I was browsing online, I came across this and thought of taking it. I answered the questions as honestly as I could and was quite surprised by the result. Well, I am not sure about how readers will react with the result but I still believe my readers are the best judges about the things I write here on my blog.

You Are a Pundit Blogger!

Your blog is smart, insightful, and always a quality read.

Truly appreciated by many, surpassed by only a few

Well, what ever are the criteria for this, I have no idea, really. I just would like to post the results as part of sharing it to those who read my posts often. So for all my readers out there, you be the judge! LOL.

Natural is Safer

Friday, May 16, 2008

For just one moment in your everyday routine or life, do you sometimes feel unsafe? Are there certain moments which you feel not safe or secure at all? Recently, since I am at home most of the time, I have frequent moments of introspection regarding safety issues from the food we eat to the smallest item I bring home from my trips to the supermarkets. I will tell you why.

You see, in this age and time when everything seems to have undergone synthetic processing, I always reflect how far our natural body with its natural processes, can take synthetic substances more than it already does on regular basis. From the chemical products we put on our skin up to the different synthetic chemicals we take in as our daily diet, I wonder what else can be considered as natural... But natural is what our body systems need, right?

I am sure that unless we grow our own food using natural fertilizer or raise our own animals for our domestic consumption, that is the only time that there is sure safety in our diet.
I was fascinated to find a website that compares and reviews brands of natural fertilizer with the most up to date and accurate data available.
Now, I feel a little relieved and safer that despite commercialized environment that we have, there is still those that go natural!

Documents Scanning

Thursday, May 15, 2008

I have always believed in the dictum: It is better to be safe than be sorry.

Other risk takers will definitely disagree in unison with me, but that is how I view life. There are just some things that need to be left in the safe mode, right? I have to say that, if there are actual risks to be taken, I would rather take calculated risks rather than just risks, for the sake of risking. I do not know where I got that trait but definitely, it is the opposite of my husband's.

Had I been a CEO or a person in command of a corporation, I would have the same attitude with the company's documents. I will have document scanning + so as to keep all important papers safe and copied. I will do document scanning + to avoid losses of important copies or certain papers that are considered as knowledge resources in my company. I would rather have members of the company save some time just by retrieving documents electronically, rather than spend endless hours looking into actual paper files or folders. The time spent retrieving files manually, will definitely be a cost to the company's operations. More time saved, means more outputs delivered, right?

Business Minded

Thursday, May 15, 2008

What is the difference between a person with a paradigm of "creating my own wealth" through his or her own enterprises to that of someone who thinks that it is better to "be secured with an 8-hour job"? The former entails a whole lot of risk-taking and creativity, right? The latter however, brings about more traditional mentality and predictability of 'being secured as an employee". Now my question is which one would you rather be into?

My family's frame of thinking is shifting from the traditional paradigm of holding secured 8-hour job to that of "owning our enterprises" mode of thinking. It took a long time for my siblings and husband to shift into such points of views but slowly and surely it is changing. It took years of observing how my sister, who was successful with her business, brought up a small or micro-enterprise to a huge business corporation. No easy task it was, but she surely did it. Even if she started small or had her business capital from small business loan, she was able to do it on her own.

These days, my youngest brother is into such thinking: owning or creating my own wealth rather than be an employee of someone. He is willing to avail of another business loan than wait for jobs to come along. He says even if it means higher risk taking and extra hard work, it is better than just relying on someone to pay you for your skills.

What is CAHOOTS? (kə-hūts')

pl.n. Informal.
Questionable collaboration; secret partnership: an accountant in cahoots with organized crime.

If people are in cahoots, they are conspiring together.
(from http://www.answers.com)

Well, except for the "accountants " and "crime" part of above-mentioned description, cahoots we did, to organize a Mother's Day party for my Mama. Read on.

Thursday: my sister texted that a party is in the works for my Mama on May 12,2008. Since she was just too busy to prepare she asked me to organize it for my Mama. Without batting an eyelash,I said yes...

An hour or so after, with my other sister's budget/money wired and my excitement boiling I started to do the legwork. I talked to my cousin-cook regarding the food preparation, plus told my Mama's driver not to tell anything because he was eavesdropping then. With the menu almost set, i jotted down other things to do or buy.

Friday I bought the souvenir materials and started tinkering with them.

Saturday came and I made the most of the time by reserving the cake and balloons . I made final consultations of the menu to my 3 sisters, online. Since the three of them approved and made it final, I had less things to worry about. They also told me that my second sister's coffee shop where the party would be, was reserved already.

So Sunday came and all I had to do was
pick up the cake and other food orders, buy a dozen roses which each apo (grandchild) would hand over to my Mama, the moment she enters the venue.

The next thing I knew: seven siblings together; (because our youngest was attending a friend's wedding in Mindanao, so he missed it)
plus in-laws and all my Mama's 11 grandchildren were shouting "Happy Mother's Day" in unison, as my 67-year old Mama stood in shock by the venue's doorstep!!!!She was indeed clueless!

Wheeww.

So that whole day was another one event - down wonderful memory lane.

That's cahoots.

Finances Matter

Money talks.

Money is a necessity.
However which way we describe it, money is a prime medium for exchange to be able to acquire certain products or services available everywhere. It is used by people everywhere and at anytime. That is why money is a necessity, because everyone needs money: to spend to save, to pay for services acquired, to give and many other ways to be able to exist in our society which is defined by material things.
Now, for those people like me who is into money-saving or making mode all the time, I found a website which should be a-must for everyone who is into the interest of learning about financial matters every chance possible. There are actually endless reasons why I am so into this blogging mode about this website which I found:

1. For those who want to get updated with the latest website update, you can subscribe to their RSS feed. So information is available for you anytime, anywhere. Cool, right?
2. The website has overflowing, meaty bits and pieces of information about money-saving tips and up-to-date information. So for bloggers, like me it is so easy to read and be informed.
3. Are you contemplating on getting home insurance? Do you have pets that need to be insured? Do you own car or cars which insurance need to be renewed? Then you should visit this site to know more or search for the lowest insurance quotes and best discounts from leading insurers.

4. Since almost everyone carries credit cards, For every bit of information regarding almost every credit card, this site has the complete details for credit cards information from benefits, rates, fees, charges and comparison with other cards: information is available.

5. More than the information mentioned above readers will be overwhelmed by the range of tips and details about many other financial matters such as mortgages, secured or unsecured loans, comparison of gas and electricity suppliers, and many other headlines about financial matters.
What is more amazing about this site is it is not too technical for lay people to be overwhelmed with jargons or technical terms. The words or terms used in the website are just cool enough that common reader, like me, can be engage and informed unknowingly.
I wonder how other financial sites would look pale in comparison to this site. It is no wonder that many bloggers or internet users are frequenting this site due to its user-friendly, easy navigation features. Widgets are not overloaded so as to distract the readers.

The Real Boss

Friday, May 09, 2008

Do these words sound familiar to you? HUGO BOSS. Or do these words smell nice to you? Which question you wish to answer?
Which ever of the question is your pick; you and I know that these are very familiar nouns that spell: quality fragrance.

Many months ago, I gave my dear husband Boss in Motion as a birthday gift. He was very happy about the gift. His happiness about the gift was evident when within so short period of time; he consumed it within a span of about two months. My feeling was a mixed emotion of being grateful how he appreciated the gift as well as quite surprised to know the fact that he consumed it that fast.I was amazed that he requested me to choose another fragrance for him as his Christmas gift. Glad that he liked it, I willingly gave him Hugo Boss when Christmas of that year came. He loved the fragrances!

In case you are thinking of giving someone special a gift, why not choose one from the variety of fragrance choices? Aside from the quality of the fragrance from a trusted name, the person who will receive the gift will surely like whatever choice you prefer to give!

Blog advertising is the trendiest form of advertising these days.

Let's admit it, everyone seems to be online these days, right? When I say everyone, it means million of people from all walks of life from all over the world. Being online means accessing millions and millions of information everyday, twenty four hours, seven days a week! In fact, when it comes to being online or accessing the world wide web, time, culture and social status become irrelevant already.
A blog is a good medium to carry out advertisements. Not only because it is the most updated form of linking online, but also because there are many people who blog for pay! Bloggers, who are always online, are the only people who are most aware of what is the most recent, the newest and the freshest products or services online.
So advertisers do not have second thoughts for ways to promote their products or services: the best way is through blogs! BloggersReview is one of these recent advertising agency to join the trend.

Worth the Time

Wednesday, May 07, 2008

The other was "date day" for me and my dear husband. We went out amidst protestations from our little one. She is not used to being left to someone else's care aside from ours, even if it was my Mama who was left in-charged of her.We needed the break from our usual routine.
First we had our lunch. It was a different feeling of eating lunch which was not prepared by me! It was also quite a break from me, because I was able to enjoy the ambiance of the mall where we went to, the assortment of people milling around us and choices of food available.

So our next stop was the movie house. "Iron Man" the movie, was showing then so we were looking forward for some jaw-dropping scenes. From the recent reviews of the movie, I knew we were not going to be disappointed.

Jaw-dropping was Robert Downey Jr.'s acting, indeed! I loved the movie. Aside from the effects, I was again a certified Robert Downey Jr. fan. I like the way he acts or imbibes the character he plays. Much of the admiration goes to the fact that despite his substance abuse issues he was able to revive his career.

It is very seldom that when celebrities, like him, get involved substance abuse issues there would still be a lucrative career waiting ahead. Thanks to the rehabilitation he took, he is back to give other actors to really rethink about their mediocre acting skills!

Kids' Needs

Wednesday, May 07, 2008

For many years now, I have been teaching kids both with regular and certain special needs. It is neither easy nor a daunting task but I perceive it as a challenge. Moreover, having a niece with special needs always keep me on my toes regarding relevant readings or recent researches about such issues.

Recently, I read that children with ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder lack Omega-3 in their diet. Hmmm. Let me find out further how true this is. It is a common knowledge that Omega-3 is an essential nutrient. And because our body does not produce this naturally, we need intake of Omega3. However, lack of fresh fish in our diet means lack of Omega3 also.
According to one study after taking Omega-3 impulsiveness and anxiety of children with ADHD were decreased. This is because more focus and concentration were noted upon supplementation of PharmaOmega Learn. To foster increase public awareness, free samples of Learn are being distributed.

I found this in my mail. I thought I would want to share it.

It is really fascinating- it's rather dazzling to see it presented this way.

Cool, Cool Weblog

Tuesday, May 06, 2008

I am not a techie. I am not that well versed in tinkering with computers or its softwares. I usually leave that to my husband. So when I stumbled upon this simple looking but very nice design blog I was completely fooled that it was a techie blog! It has a very simple design yet contains a lot of good content. For a none techie person like me, I found this one as very user-friendly. The lay-out is cool and navigation is very easy.
One post presents a discussion about windows vista and some information about user accounts. And there is this another write up which is about the Microsoft spyware community. Topics are not just interesting but informative as well. And one major bonus about this weblog is that it is not loaded with ads or widgets so it is not an eyesore to the user, so to speak!

However, as I told you I am not a techie so what I did was to bookmark it. I would definitely visit it again! And then I passed the link to my husband. My husband, being a web designer and programmer, should be able to comprehend the contents and find it useful, or at least, interesting.

After being down with asthma during her birthday, my little one is better now. She is having a cough though. A cough however, is more manageable than asthma, right? So she is finishing her mucolytic/cough syrup now.

Now, it is my turn. A haven't been in tip-top condition since Sunday. body pains and a cold is threatening to pull me down. I refused to be pulled down. I still go on with my day like the usual. For now, I am finishing my OTC herbal med.

Grab The Card

Tuesday, May 06, 2008

I earned my University degree when I was just twenty years old. I was quite young, right? I was under a University scholarship then. I had to maintain certain grades in order to constantly avail of the scholarship every semester. It was a tough time but the experience provided so much discipline and perseverance on my part. Looking back, I truly treasured the times that I had to practice so much self-regulation from budgeting my monthly stipend provided by the scholarship to maintaining the required grades and of course having a little social life!

Back in my days, student credit cards were not yet part of the trend. We were all perfectly dependent on the allowances provided by either our parents or scholarships or work. We really had to be wise spenders or else we will be penniless in no time.

It is good that student credit cards are available these days. There are so many choices up for grabs. Lucky are those who avail of such because there is one reliable card to depend on when in need to avail of items or services. Students will not have to worry about losing cash or money during trips from different classes or outings, because this is better than carrying cash all the time.

I am not feeling robust yet. I still have the body pains and and headache up to today. That is not to mention the very painful swollen throat I have. It is a cold coming up, I guess. I bought medicines already, at my sister's pharmacy. Hope it works miracles.
Despite the coughs and colds, I went out with hubby today; for a change. We watched Iron Man the movie. It is a good one. If you watch it, it will be worth your every cent. I enjoyed the movie so much!

For the last six or seven months being online consumes most of my time. I spent more time being online than being outside the comforts of my home. I would like to make it clear though that I do not regret being always online. Despite many nights of lack of sleep and missing other night events with my social circles, I still prefer to be online. Being online has opened doors of new learning for me. It has widened my horizon that there are so many things to learn or do. More than just learning many new things, I met so many people and made new friends online. My life's perception changed. I learned how to do so many other things just be clicking the computer's mouse.
These are only a few of the things I learned how to do, by being online:
1. shop without going out of the house
2. play games
3. contact old and new friends
4. chat or converse with people from different parts of the world
4. build businesses through e-commerce
5. do payments and banking inside my house
6. earn money in many different ways
7. engage in or invest in currency trading from my computer
8. read many kinds of literature
9. publish my ideas online
10. be updated with current events

It is fun to be online! What about you? What have you gained being online?

Liza ,tagged me with this. I am a proud Mommy of three wonderful daughters so I gladly accepted this tag. I also share this with my Mama who deserves all the mother's day awards one can think of!

A mother's love determines how

We love ourselves and others.
There is no sky we'll ever see
Not lit by that first love.

Stripped of love, the universe
Would drive us mad with pain;
But we are born into a world
That greets our cries with joy.

How much I owe you for the kiss
That told me who I was!
The greatest gift--a love of life--
Lay laughing in your eyes.

Because of you my world still has
The soft grace of your smile;
And every wind of fortune bears
The scent of your caress.

Do you worry about your finances? Do you spend sleepless nights over unpaid bills? Are your credit cards bills piling up more than the usual? Is your monthly salary barely enough for the credit card payments because of your ever increasing purchases? Then you are not alone. You are among the many people who just scratch their heads because of financial woes!

In this commercialized world of ours it is not easy to stay faithful to our budget. Despite self-discipline and right attitude of sticking to our budget, escalating prices of commodities get our budget in to spinning mode more often than not. Almost everyday, prices are increasing constantly . Just the other day, oil price has gone up again for the nth time already this year. What is ironic though is that despite every day price increases, our salary does not increase the way prices of commodities or services do. So we should not wonder why our credit cards bills are piling up or why our debts are increasing.
Many people nowadays have solved their financial problem through credit consolidation. this is because through credit consolidation, debtors can work their way up to managing their monthly payments without so much worry.

I am not feeling well. I feel colds and coughs are looming over my weary body. I hope my natural immune system will be able to fight the sickness before it worsens...

I will hit the sack for now. The birthday party preparation that was held last Saturday for the little one, took toll on me. I am just feeling the tiredness and lack of sleep right now.

After the celebration I was really tired that I woke up at ten in the morning the next day. Then today i did the laundry for more than half of the day.

Tomorrow there are pending tasks again.

Maybe it is time to slow down tonight. I will sleep before twelve midnight for a change!

You know what's the hottest thing to enjoy online these days? Online casinos are the coolest entertainment these days. Isn't it cool to be in the comforts of your home, on the familiar grounds and still enjoy the same games that real casinos offer? It is so hassle-free for players to put bets and win prizes within the familiar luxuries of their homes, right?
Online casinos are available twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week. Without doubt players will enjoy wide range of choices just like what USA online casinos offer. Players will have non-stop enjoyment playing online!

One day I was at my Mom's house. As I was reading a magazine, my younger brother was in front of the mirror combing his hair. Suddenly, he said he has a problem and he needed my help.
"What kind of help do you need?" I asked. He said his problem is his hair. He said he needed to do something about it.
"What is wrong with your hair?" I asked again. His reply was: "My hair is thinning already and I need to do something about it, before it is too late."

I was shocked to hear that from him because he was just 23 years old! Isn't hair loss for old people only? I was of course wrong in my thinking. "Let me see what I can do." I replied. Deep down I knew I had to help him with his predicament. As one supportive sister that I am, I browsed online for hair loss treatment.

I found this interesting, natural product for his hair. This hair loss treatment is a product of extensive research and it is so natural it does not require a doctor's prescription when one buys it. I will surely recommend this to him!

My friend, Joy, has left the country for good. She is off to get her PhD in another country. She plans to stay there for good, given the fact that she was allowed eight years of work-study grant.
Part of me is sad, because the eighteen long years of our friendship has been a part of more than half of my life. Another part of me is glad that she gets to pursue higher forms of learning in another place. Although she took her Master's degree in Australia, she came back after three years. This time she has no plans of coming back yet, except for visits.

Many years ago, we had so many plans and adventures. We even planned putting up a joint business of designing T Shirts and blouses. We were both creative, that's why. Although she is the scientist, she also does painting, drawing and designing T Shirts. It was a fun time. We were young, free and very creative!

Well, life's like that and we have to move on. Friends come and go, changes happen everyday and people we are related to, sometimes leave us... Hopefully, I will still see her in the coming years! For now I know no one can substitute the Joy in my life. It is not yet goodbye, it is just "see you around" right?

Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot!

Saturday, May 03, 2008

Let us admit it. As women, there are times when we want to feel our femininity to the highest level, right? We want to look good always, especially to our partners. However, feeling good is not enough. Looking good is better than just feeling it.

Now, to look good does not necessarily mean sweating out hundreds of hours in the gym or getting all the beauty treatments available. Looking good starts how we perceive ourselves. When we perceive ourselves as sexy and feminine, it affects how others will perceive us in return. When we feel good, we look good and consequently, we emit certain positive vibes. As a result, it can make us relate to others well or fulfill our commitments better.

Why don't we just hit that mouse and shop online for lingerie? One way to make us feel good about ourselves is following our own personal shopping indulgences, right? There are actually choices from sexy lingerie to plus size lingerie. This range of choices gives us decisions to suit our own needs.

So what are we waiting for? Let us start that long-overdue personal shopping we owe ourselves. Who knows, this is the start of reinventing our images and changing the perceptions of people to a better, sexier women that we are!

Europe! Oh Europe!

Saturday, May 03, 2008

Do you have your own dream vacation? I dream of going to Europe with my family. I love to visit Europe!Who wouldn't be able to resist these places in Europe? Just look at these places to stay for leisure available for grabs when you travel to Europe.

These Rome Hotels are irresistible! You will have a grand time resting in the place! While these Dublin Hotels, as shown below, will give you the time of your life during your leisure stay.
I am dreaming of visiting these popular cities in Europe with my family. Given the chance I will not pass the chance to stay in these places of accommodations. With places like these, such as Hotels Paris , our vacation will surely be a knock-out for the whole family. My kids will truly remember such lifetime memories! I am confident my girls will share stories and bonding moments with the kind of place like what London Hotels offers.
That's my dream vacation. I am sure you have yours!

I took this quiz for fun. I found out that I should be into arts. Well, this is not really far from my University degree. I am really more into visual arts and the fine things in life. To figure out how find the time to take my Master's degree in between career, motherhood and being a wife is the issue here. LOL.

You Should Get a MFA (Masters of Fine Arts)

You're a blooming artistic talent, even if you aren't quite convinced.

You'd make an incredible artist, photographer, or film maker.

Since I am into arts while my husband is an Applied Physics major, I wonder what careers my kids will take up. I hope they will have their own niche and be happy with their own chosen careers!!!

Diamonds are Forever

Saturday, May 03, 2008

A while ago I was taking my time to browse online offers of jewelries. I came across a site that offers diamond rings. I was in such awe, that I just wanted to grab those items featured in the site. Indeed, diamonds are a woman's best friend.

Just by the sight of the sparkling gems, from bracelets to gold chains and wedding rings, I was totally mesmerized. I felt the sudden urge to buy a diamond ring for myself. I need a reward for working so hard, you know. I felt I owe it to myself to get one. Do I deserve it? Very much so!

First is the bad news: My little one is down with asthma @#$%@*?*!!! Hay, isn't it a bit too timely? I hate looking at her hyperventilating. So much for the excitement of seeing her enjoy tomorrow's party, right?

Next the good news: we have been busy working together to iron out details. Big sister prepared a PowerPoint presentation for the little one.

Second big sister helped put on stickers on the give-away. She also helped search for pictures in the computer.

Of course, dear daddy did the lay out on Photoshop.

I will cook some food tonight ready for heating up tomorrow.

Isn't that team work, galore!?

Leisure

Friday, May 02, 2008

I was watching television the other day. It was quite fun to be refreshed with entertainment juicy news. I had fun watching the show.
I watched a video clip that a local young actor is into online casinos and thus enjoying much of it. He said that he enjoys much of his time with online gambling, sometimes he forgets the time. He was emphasizing of how being into casinos, relieves him of stress. Hmmm. That I have not tried yet, have you?

Slowing Down

Friday, May 02, 2008

Blogging changed my lifestyle. Sometimes I hate to think about it. I already posted about getting more disciplined when it comes to blogging and i still lack the sense to do so.

My nights have turned into blogging time instead of snoozing on my bed. I have been typing away so frequently, i seldom go out or meet with other people. But the irony of it is : I like it. Except for the part that I seldom get complete sleep, I like how I enjoy my time online.

How long will this blogging repertoire last? I do not know. I need to really be disciplined though so that chores in the house will not be forgotten; or i get too anemic due to lack of sleep.

We will see.

Good Investments

Thursday, May 01, 2008

The word "investment" used to be very foreign to me. The word "investment" used to be very far from my concerns and interests. There are actually many reasons why this word has not been with in my concern of interest or focus.

The first and foremost reason is I did not come from a family of business-oriented people. My parents and my parents' parents were never into investments or enterprises. My parents were both from government services and my grandparents were into plants.

The second reason is because I used to have the aged paradigm that source of living or income comes from being part of the 8 hour job or workforce. Little did I know that anyone can get out of the box and dabble into businesses or invest for a better income.

However, as time went by and I grew more mature, I tried my luck on micro-enterprises and got simple financial rewards from them. Then I witnessed how my siblings grew businesses from simple investments. Just then I realized how important investments are.

Now given choices, I will really get different kinds of investments. I am willing to buy stocks and invest on properties. If I have the money, I would buy properties just like what St Thomas Real Estate offers. With prime locations and constant increasing values, I will have no second thoughts on investing on them!
