Filipinos have strong affinity with the Spanish people because our country used to be under their colony. In fact, most of our culture is patterned from the Spanish culture. For sure there are many words from our language that are Spanish- based and sounding alike.
Our food is also mostly with Spanish names and spices. The exotic Paella, steamy arroz caldo, delicious arroz valenciana, the sumptous pork or beef lengua are just to name a few Spanish food we inherited from them which are still enjoyed up to these days!
When one visits our country, most old houses and buildings are of Spanish heritage. Our Catholic churches were all built by Spanish friars and priests more than 300 hundred years ago. Even the family names of most of our population are truly of Hispanic heritage.
That is the real reason why I like to travel in Spain. For sure, I will truly enjoy the resorts and hotels there. I heard there good accommodations in Sitges Barcelona Hotels, Benidorm Hotels, Costa Del Sol Marbella Hotels, and Costa Del Sol Torremolinos Hotels. We will see... i am excited to travel there, too.
