Isn't it sad to hear stories of how great people of yesterday or years suffer at present? I am fully emphatic to this issue because my husband's uncle suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. And he is just in late 50's when this happened. He used to be a very smart marketing man who held positions in various multinational corporations. Nowadays, he hardly recognizes his siblings and peers.
So when I heard about this Alzheimer's Memory Walk I got interested and want to be involved. More than just awareness and information dissemination, raising funds for further studies and support are the thrusts of this event. So far, this is the grandest event to call for volunteers and those who will champion the cause. What is a 2-3 mile walk compared to the extent it will bring in terms of achieving a world without Alzheimer's?
So let's walk with a purpose and achieve a future without Alzheimer's! Wanna be the team Captain?
