My kids, who are enrolled in an alternative school, had recently studied about the miracle plant: Malunggay. Their lesson's theme revolved around Malunggay. Thus these are some of the activities they did to discover about the miracle plant:

1.Researched about the nutritional content of Malunggay and did a Science report about it
2. Read about an article published in the Manila Bulletin Sunday Magazine about Malunggay plant
3. Dried some Malunngay leaves for three days then they cooked Malunggay flavored Puto (rice cake).
4. Went around the school letting people taste their Malunggay Puto then interviewed the respondents about the product.
5. Had their Math about percentage using the Malunggay Puto recipe measurements.
5. Had Focus Group Discussions about the entire experience!

Fun. Fun time to learn, right?

I had to prod my daughter to take a second look on my blog. She obliged and confirmed that I was not seeing a fake number. Then I called my husband to see if we were really not having optical illusions or something.
I have Page Rank 4. Yes, Mr. Google gave me PR 4 from my ranking of PR 3 for the last month…Isn’t that amazing. Isn’t that such an answered prayer and blessing now that I have a long leave of absence from work because I will do blogging to earn?
Thank you Mr. Google, for this gift of level-up in my blog’s PR. I am so happy…I was literally having a cardiac excitement.
Whew! Blessings do come in different forms, right? This blessing today came in the form of a single number…It means soooooo much to me.

Today I went to work.

I did not feel like going, but I did.

I did not like to go, but off to work I started my week.

That’s what commitment is all about, right?

Commitment is doing things, not because I feel like doing it, but I need to do it. People rely on me to do it.

When I went to work 4 people were missing. Filling-in has to be done. RE-structuring of the scheduled activities was done, quickly because people were waiting. Plans have to be overhauled, changed.

Isn’t that what we just hate to be in? When plans are done and the unpredictable happens, that is the summation of STRESS.

But it was my choice to be stressed or not. I had a choice to be reactive OR be proactive.

I chose the latter.

Thus, today I learned that it is my choice to manage change. Whether I plan what’s to happen or not. Whether events beyond my control happen or otherwise, I still have a choice.

Today I choose NOT to be stressed. That's what matters most.

It is healthier to accept, than to be stressed.

How about you? What stresses you? How do you refuse to stress yourself?

i am in random thoughts about these two concepts lately...sometimes the former is quite ideal but the demands of the modern techno-savvy world which is for us to work more than what is the usual enslave us to push our selves to the highest limit..........work, work, work, work. sometimes it's too tiring. but what else is there to do? how else would we spend our time?
