The usual sofa and table arrangement has been out of the picture. The usual furniture in their places have been removed. We sure need a modern sofa to change the ambiance.

I have no idea.
But I am sure that this is my 550th post in my entire blogging history. Wow. In less than a year, of blogging I have made my 550th post. By simple logic and reasoning, I have made more than one entry in a day.
It is really different when I crave for what I do. I hit the keyboard with ease and just type away as I please. It gives me sense of purpose to express and just be.
I would like to propose a toast...
Here's to more blogging and simple joys of the simple me!
This is cool.
I am sure many bloggers will flock to the site to avail of this one. No, I am not talking of free domains or hosting, yet. Rather I am referring to something more fragrant and refreshing than that!
As I was surfing online, I came across this site with giveaways of not just the actual products but also tips and tricks from a well known TV host. All you have to do is visit the site and request for a free sample. Well, more than just samples actually, but also coupons, and handy tips from no less than Tanya Memme, Host of A&E's Sell This House.
What more can be cooler than that?
Not only that bloggers get to sample the actual products, we can actually put it in the rooms of our homes wherever we please to! Talk of experiencing coziness and comfort!
My little (six year-old) one was reading her Christian Living text for homeschooling. It was about the Biblical Story of Creation.
Her: "Why does God hide from us?"
Me: "What do you mean?"
Her: "He never shows His face and I wonder how He looks like."
Me: "He is not human like us and unlike us, He is Holy."
Does that make sense?
Silence.
Me: (in thoughts): How can I explain the Holy Trinity to a six-year old?
But I tried my best. Promise.
Have you heard of the popular but slightly rephrased line: "The hands that do the cleaning, are that hands that rule (the health) of the household?"
I giggled when I encountered this line. There is truthfulness to it, though. No matter how tiring can cleaning be most of the time, someone has to do it. Or everyone in the household suffers. Everyone claims that health is of prime importance, thus cleaning should always be done regularly.
Unfortunately, for me I am the one who is in charge of the majority of the cleaning in our own household. And mind you, I take it seriously. Here's why...
My youngest daughter has been asthmatic since the age of two. When her asthma attacks, she cannot do any activity for three to five days straight, how much more go to school. Usually, dust, molds and mildew cause her attacks to worsen. When she is down with asthma, everything around our household has to be turned over, dusted or cleaned thoroughly. Unfortunately, I am the one who has to do the task.
Cleaning is tiring at times but in our case, it has to be done on a regular basis or otherwise, my little one suffers the consequences.
So when I heard about Dirt Devil I was truly pondering of getting one. Aside from the fact that it is an Energy Star approved machine, which means it uses 70% less energy, this can be my best cleaning buddy, ever.
So what can I say?
Welcome to my home!

Twelve years.
That's how long I 'have been teaching.
I started when I was 20.
Rested for two years. Proceeded on after raising two babies of my own.
Now I am on a different genre.
I am teaching my own children through homeschooling.
It is a true test of patience.
Everyday it is a new experience.
There are times I get agog how smart my kids are. I sometimes get floored how they reason better than adults.
But most of the time I want to shout: "LORD, I need patience, NOW!!!!"
It is just different...

Enjoy!

June passed unknowingly.
My dear husband and I were on our toes for the past month. It is because business revenues are scarce during this time of the year; when parents pay for school expenses and matriculation in our place.
Being the budget officer of the house, I was worried more than what I showed to other family members. As days passed, there were many juggling and cost-effective measures I did just to make sure we would surpass this lean times of the year; aside from the fact that prices are skyrocketing more than the usual.
Today as first of July came, I was really in deep prayers that our finances will be better than the previous month. Then I read about Robin of Heart of Wisdom's entry about faith and how we should give God the Reins of our lives and I quote:
"When we wait patiently on God, we honor Him because we are allowing Him to have His way and His timing in our lives. It is the highest expression of faith in His righteousness.
In our weakness He is strong. God can and will do all. Abraham, Moses, and others in the Bible had strong faith; they were able to “see the invisible, choose the imperishable, and do the impossible,” and what was true for them centuries ago can be true for us today."
Now that I am on leave from my work, I am always at home. I can say I do have more hours in my hands to pray these days. Thus, whenever I do the laundry, the dishes, folding clothes or cleaning the floor - my silent prayers are muttered. Others might find this mundane or impractical, but I found this as my way to really be one with God, in very simple if not quiet way.
I know others will find it weird for me just to be home instead of earning a living outside ( just as I have been for twelve years); but I know that will happen again in the future, but not now.
As my husband left to meet with a client this afternoon, I prayed quietly, for God to provide for us in the most miraculous way; miraculous since he called this person just hours before the meeting.
Guess what?
He came home with a check!
I cannot thank HIM enough.
